13 people have lost their lives at Pala area in Awasi, Kisumu in a grisly accident. The accident involved a trailer and an Eldoret Express bus.
Those who died are 12 adults and one child.
The bus was headed to Nairobi from Siaya and had picked some passengers in Kisumu.

The county police boss Mr. Benson Maweu said that the bus driver was trying to overtake but unfortunately had a head on collision with an oncoming trailer.
13 people died on the spot while several others got injured. The injured people have been taken to various hospitals within the area.
