Kenya has so far recorded 336 cases of coronavirus after a confirmation of 16 new covid-19 cases.
The 16 are among 946 tests that have been carries out in the last 24 hours.
Dr, Rashid Aman who is the Health Chief Administrative Secretary during a press briefing said 11 of the cases were picked up in Nairobi while 5 were picked up in Mombasa county by surveillance teams.
A total of 16,738 tests have been carried out since the confirmation of the first case
There has been a recovery of 5 more people. So far we have had 94 recoveries while the number of fatalities stand at 14.
Worldwide 2,744,614 people have been infected by the virus, 191,791 deaths and 755,443 recoveries as of April 24.
Active cases stand at 1,797,380, with three per cent or 58,693 of them being critical and the rest mild.
The number of closed cases is 947,234, with 80 per cent or 755,443 being the number of recoveries or those discharged.
Africa has 28,351 infections with deaths 1,301.
