Today Kenya recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases since the first case was reported on March 12.
A total of 45 samples turned out positive for the deadly virus. The 45 are from 1, 077 samples that have been tested in the last 24 hours.
Making the daily announcement from Afya House, the Health CS, Mutahi Kagwe said 29 of the confirmed cases are from Eastleigh.
11 are from Mombasasa, 5 from wajir and 1 is a Somali national. The five cases in Wajir have a travel history from Mogadishu.
30 of the confirmed Covid-19 cases are male while 15 are female.
There have also been 9 new discharges bringing the number of recoveries to 182.
