The total number of COVID-19 cases in Kenya has risen to 1109 after 80 more people tested positive for the virus.
Out of the 80 people, 77 are Kenyans while 3 are of Somali origin.
53 are male while 27 are female. Their ages range from 6 months to 66 years.
A total of 3102 samples were tested in the last 24 hours from which the 80 positive samples were found.
So far Kenya has tested 52, 507 samples since the disease se foot in the country.
In terms of county distribution: Nairobi registered 41 cases, Mombasa 20, Siaya 7, Kwale 6, Garissa 3, Kajiado 2 and Taita Taveta 1.
