COVID-19 Cases Rise By 12, Total Number Of Confirmed Cases Is Now 396

As we come to the end of the month of April, Kenya has recorded 12 new Covid-19 cases bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 396.

Of the confirmed cases 7 are from Mombasa, 3 from Nairobi, 1 from Wajir and 1 from Kitui.

The cases are from 777 samples that have been tested in the last 24 hours.

In Nairobi, the affected areas are Fedha Estate, Eastleigh and Killeleshwa. In Mombasa, the cases are spread out across Old Town, Bonseni and Bomani.

Wajir recorded their first case today.

Five of the confirmed cases are from quarantine facilities while seven were picked by the ministry of health surveillance teams.

The country also discharged 15 people, the largest number of people to ever be discharge in a single day since the virus was reported. The total number of people who have recovered from the virus is now 144.

Number of deaths caused by the virus is 17 after 2 more people succumbed to the disease.
