DP Ruto Mourns Kipyegon Kenei, Officer On Duty During Echesa’s Arrest

The body of a missing Administration Police officer who was attached to the office of the Deputy President Harambee House Annex Office was found dead in his house at Imara Daima.

The officer who goes by the name of Kipyegon Kenei was found dead in his house with a bullet wound in his head.

William Ruto, the Deputy President, has expressed his grief and sympathy after learning of his death. 

Deeply saddened by the death of Police Sergent Kipyegon Kenei who worked in my Harambee House Annex Office. Kenei was a disciplined young police officer. I urge the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death. My heartfelt thoughts to the family, colleagues and friends. Rest In Peace.

Kipyogon Kenei was supposed to be interrogated by Directorate of Criminal investigations in relation to the fake 39Billion firearm deals. 

He did not report to work on the material day only to be found dead in his house a day after. 

He was one of the five police officers who were on duty when former CS Rashid Echesa was arrested at Harambee House while in the company of two foreigners,
