Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria has today woken up an angry man after a tweet by Mutahi Ngunyi purpotedly calling the GEMA community stupid if they chose to support Deputy President William Ruto.

It first started on twitter from a poll by the political strategist who conived the tyranny of numbers narrative in 2013 to show the huge support Uhuru had in Central. He invoked a poll saying the ‘soul of GEMA Nation was on sale and Ruto was the auctioneer.

The choices were to either fight Ruto, surrender to Ruto, recall elected legislators or if unsure one was to choose they had no idea what was happening in the region. Suprisingly, surrending that Ruto has won in GEMA wled by 55% and the closest group was those who will choose to fight Ruto in GEMA (supposedly the Uhuru supporters) at 19% and the undecided or clueless were super close at 18%.

The tallies irked him to a series of tweets castigating the GEMA community, quoting Howard Bloom that they must ‘hang together or be hang separately’, that mother nature is not ‘kind to stupidity’. In his analysis, Ruto will ‘fix’ the Kikuyu community in 2024 should they support him in 2022.

Now an infuriated Moses Kuria has come out casting all care to the winds and telling Ngunyi to ‘take his intelligence to Bondo, in reference to Raila Odinga’s roots.

Dear @MutahiNgunyi stop insulting the GEMA Nation. It is our constitutional right to be stupid or even to take rat poison for breakfast. Take your intelligence to Bondo

He further made out a detailed longer post, still attacking Ngunyi, and this time, his benefactors President Uhuru Kenyatta.

We are just tired of people begrudging us for our choices. Thrice we made a decision to support Kibaki 100% in ‘97, ‘02 and ‘07. No one had an issue with that. Twice we made a decision to support Uhuru Kenyatta 100% in ‘13 and ‘17. We were angels then. Kenyans have been saying that GEMA can not suppprt another tribe. Willingly and without being forced they have settled on William Ruto. I even offered myself as a candidate but GEMA people told me its time to support another tribe. So what have we done wrong to deserve being called stupid? I thought we deserve bouquets not barbs for supporting a person from another tribe. We are staring at a major uprising, nay, revolution in GEMA Nation. We better die on our feet rather than live on our knees. They disrespected our fathers who fought for Independence. We will fight for our honour and our dignity. Look at the demolitions in Kariobangi and Ruai all meant to pave way for foolish unbridled wealth accumulation. How much more can we swallow without rising up? Enough is enough

His post, and rather say his posts lately, have come out to define him as a politician who has completely fallen out with Uhuru Kenyatta, the president, his party leader and the defacto leader of the Kikuyu community.

That Kuria would publicly link the demolitions in Kariobangi and Ruai to the planned Northen City by the Kenyatta family is very telling of the huge rift that has now developed.

A little over two years ago, Moses Kuria was being called in by the NCIC for his political remarks to the context that they were prepared to go to war than surrender political power to Raila Odinga. At the time, a darling of the system and a tool to insult hon Raila Odinga, Kuria excelled well.

But when choices narrowed and alliances had to be redefined, Kuria’s alliances have shifted. So it seems have the GEMAs.
