Esther Passaris has received criticism from the online community after she put her photo on sanitary towels that were meant for free distribution.
In her opinion, her photo is meant to reduce period shame for the girls and women that will be using the product.

“Trust me they are happy to have the picture and the message from their leader and mentor. The mere fact that I can stick my picture on a sanitary towel packet helps reduce period shame and stigma. Many will cut it out and keep it,” she wrote oh her social media.

Passaris said that 900 caroins of the sanitary towels had been dispatched for girls in Nairobi county.
She said that no one should ever choose between buying a sanitary towel or buying a meal and that she wanted girls to experience their periods with dignity and without shame.

Most of her followers did not like the ised that she had pu her photo on the sanitary towels and commented that it would have been okay to give out the towels without printing her photo on the packets.
This is not the first time Esther has received criticism online. It looks like she is used to it and the drama will not be stopping anytime soon.
