The Health Cabinet Secretary, Mutahi Kagwe, announced the first death in Kenya due to COCID-19.
In the statement that was posted to newsrooms, the 66 year old man is a Kenyan Citizen who was admitted at the Aga Khan hospital Inensive Care Unit.
The report said that the nman has an underlying condition, diabetes, he arrived in the country on 13th March from South Africa via Swaziland.
Earlier the same day, the ministry had announced three more COVID-19 cases bringing the number of confirmed cases to 31. The new cases were close contacts of patients who had already tested positive.
