An Itallian man aged 74, who had gone to seek treatment at a local facility in Mpeketoni, Lamu has beem quarantined.
The man had gone to seek treatment over high fever.
Owing to his travel history, the man was immediately quarantined. He is said to have travelled from Rome, Italy to Addis Ababa then to Nairobi using Ethiopian Airlines between March 3rd and 4th this year.

He then travelled to Mombasa and finally to Malindi via a local flight before connecting to Mpeketoni by road.
The Lamu county commissioner, Irungu Macharia, said that samples from the man have been sent to Nairobi and they are awaiting test results of coronavirus.
The said man fell ill and went to seek treatment at a nearby facility where he was diagnosed with high fever.
The man is a resident in Mpeketoni where he lived with his Kenyan wife.
