Italy has been on the world radar for recording more coronavirus deaths than any other country in the world.
On Friday, Italy recorded 919, deaths due to Coronavirus. The highest world’s toll ever recorded in a single day due to the virus.
According to worldometres, Italy has so far recorded 86,498 cases. 9134 deaths and 10,950 recoveries.
3732 are in critical condition with 66,414 in mild condition.
Italian health officials have however said that they are seeing a slight slow down in the number of positive cases two weeks after a countywide lockdown was imposed.
The Italian President, Sergio Mattarella, however warned the European Union to act and confront the threat posed by Coronavirus before it was too late.
