National Transport and Safety Authority, a State Corporation whose mission is to Keep Our Roads Safe, has suspended Modern Coast operator licence after a fatal accident at Salama area.
7 people have died while 62 have been injured.
In a statement that has been issued by NTSA, they have been monitoring their operations following reports of near fatal accidents.
Two of their buses crushed this morning forcing NTSA to suspend their licence with immediate effect. A thorough investigation into the safety standards of operation has been launched. The Company’s access to the NTSA portal has also been deactivated to limit any activities on their 88 vehicles, as the investigation continues.
The National Police has also been advised to impound any vehicles from the company operating contrary to this suspension.
