Residents of Eastleigh and Old Town can now breathe easy after the cessation of movement in and out of the two areas was lifted. This is after President Uhuru Kenyatta made the announcement on 6th June.
Citizens will be free to move in and out of these areas starting from Sunday 7th June from 4 pm
Residents of Kilifi and Kwale counties will also be free to move in and out of their counties after the cessation of movement in these counties was also lifted.
Movement in and out of Nairobi, Mandera and Mombasa county has however been extended for a further 30 days.
A ban on all forms of gatherings including bars have also been extended for 30 more days.
Uhuru Kenyatta also said that schools will re-open in september.
