The Directorate of Criminal Investigations took action after a viral CCTV footage that showed robbers attacking a pedestrian in Kilimani along Lenana Road in Nairobi.
Four suspects connected with a robbery incident captured on Camera along Lenana Road on 25th June, 2020 have this morning been arrested by DCI Detectives based at Kilimani and several items recovered. The four were tracked down to their hideouts in Kawangware, Gatina and Pangani,
the DCI reported.
Netizens shared the video with the DCI and called for ation.
In the video, the robbers robbers confronted a pedestrian and pointed a pistol and a knife at him then grabbed his laptop bag and other valuables from his pocket.
The two men in the video were arrested alongside a woman who is believed to be the wife of one of the robbers and another occupant of their hideout in Pangani.
They had escaped from Kawangware and Gatina where police traced them before being caught in Pangani on Monday morning.
The stolen laptop was recovered, a knife and some of the clothes that the robbers wore on the day they commited the crime were also recovered.
The four are expected in court to face various charges as the police hunt for more suspects in connection with the incident.

said Nairobi Police Boss Philip Ndolo.
