Vincent Musila made news when he got stuck at an Island in 14 falls for three days.
He had gone to the river to fish when the river suddenly burst its banks making it impossible for him to get away.

A huge crowd gathered to watch him as he helplessly paced around the small patch of land awaiting emergency rescue.

According to Vincent, the waters came in a flush as he was busy fishing from a small patch of land at the fourteen falls.

Within seconds, water was everywhere and he could not cross. For three days, he stayed there, stranded in the rain with the cold and hungry.

“There were so many mosquitoes and I was afraid of animals like crocodiles and hippos. But I am so happy and I feel well after such a dramatic rescue. I feel like I am reborn,” he told Citizen TV Kenya.

The floods had also taken away his canoe.

People who had gathered around for the three days that Vincent Musila had been stuck a the Island cheered when a police helicopter arrived to rescue him. He was Airlifted On A National Police Service Helicopter as relieved villagers cheered on

He was then taken to a restaurant for some tea, French fries and sausages after three days of starving in the cold.
